Jackson Hewitt, H%26amp;R Block, Ace Check Cashing, Action Tax Service, Liberty Tax Service...............Aren%26#039;t they all the same. Don%26#039;t they all use the same tax soft ware to prepare taxes, if not how much differce could there be. Shouldn%26#039;t I just be know what tax credits to ask for to get the most out of my refund??
Aren%26#039;t all tax services the same?
they are NOT all the same. different prices and difference in how they prepare your taxes and how hard they really work for YOU. if your taxes are fairly simple i highly suggest taxact.com. its cheap and has always been good for me!

Theoretically, you should get the exact same answer regardless where you have your taxes done. No, they all don%26#039;t use the same software, but it would be similar.
The difference is the person behind the desk entering the data. If your return is complex, you need to find someone with experience.

no not all tax places are the same. some are more reputable by means of hours of training and testing of their tax preparers. at block we take a 13 week course and are required to do tax update classes and rehire certification hours each year in order to be employed to ensure we know new tax laws and know the rules of deductions, dependencies and so forth. other tax places offer complete tax courses in as little as 2 days for employment and others offer none. i dont know about you but i would never have my taxes prepared at a check cashing place or to anyone that hires someone to wear a silly costume and wave to people all day. i cannot speak for jacksone hewit as i know they have proper training for employees as well. i lost so many deductions and credits for years i did not know about until training at block and i am sure many who prepare their own returns are too. and you are more or less getting what you pay for.
